Hello Friends,
Well, it is May and as I am discovering, May equals crazy busy at Reign Ministries, especially in the Royal Servants division. We are just over 3 weeks away from leaving for Training Camp and about 8 weeks away from leaving for overseas. Whew...
The last couple of weeks have been pretty insane. Airlines have been adding fuel surcharges and extra taxes to our international flights, adding in some cases as much as $250 to each ticket and forcing us to purchase tickets early. This also means that the students, Royal Servants, and our travel agent are having to come up with the extra funds and about 1-2 weeks sooner than expected. I am told this is a unique situation. Normally in a summer we may have one team with extra costs...but not on almost all of the teams like we have this year. We have also run into some other complications that require fast and wise decisions.
I suppose that something like this could lead to a lot of negative speculation about the summer. However, it creates the opposite in me. I wonder and wait in eager expectation of the amazing things Jesus has in store. For I do not believe satan would fight so hard against something that didn't have such potential for great kingdom impact. I know that my God is so much bigger than these things. My Jesus tells His disciples,
"Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned" (Mark 16: 15-16).
And so we forge ahead, in prayer, in faith, and in obedience to the vision and calling Jesus has given us. To share the good news with the lost...at all costs (even fuel surcharge costs). So, I am not discouraged or dismayed. Today I stand in confidence.
"I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God." (Romans 8: 18-21)
I ask that you would all be with me in prayer and faith in what the Lord is doing in this...His ministry.
Standing in the confidence of the Mighty Warrior who saves!!
