Hello Friends,
So, I just wanted to share a few things with you today. We attended a different church on Saturday. There were some things the same and some things different. We were still sitting on a cement floor for over 2 hours, but this Pastor did his sermon in Nepalese and English. As I sat listening to his passion for the Word and our Lord, I was struck by how comfortable I felt, how at home I felt at this church. There I was half way around the world from my home, and for a moment I couldn't tell. I was just sitting amongst brothers and sisters in Christ, hearing about and praising our Lord. I wrote in my notebook, "God, You are the same yesterday, today, and forever. But you are also the same in the U.S., China, and Nepal." It was cool.
Funny story about Saturday night. We decided to let our summer staff disciplers have a little time off to themselves which meant that we had just the students for about 2 hours. So, I decided the best thing to do was to play charades. I base my game decisions on mostly one thing...how much am I going to laugh. Well, after a couple of rounds of telephone charades, the summer staff that were at the restaurant next door heard us laughing (we were on the roof). The really funny one was when they had to act out VD (viscous diarrhea) on the squatty potty. I'll just let you picture that for a moment....
On a way more serious note. One of our translators here, Dependra, and his immediate and extended family need your fervent prayer. I can not at this time talk about the details of the situation, but it is serious enough that every church in Kathmandu will be fasting and praying tomorrow (overnight for you). Would you please, please, take time to lift up Dependra and his family in prayer today?
I thank you in advance for joining us in this battle against the enemies of darkness in this world.
Love and Blessings,
Mags

Please know that Dependra and her family are COVERED in prayer at this moment. The Mighty ONE has them in the palm of His Hand!
Many blessings to you, also, as you act as messenger and teacher for the Holy One, our Lord and Saviour.
Wish I could serve beside you. It would be an honor.
Love you, Mags!
Ann
Margaret,
I'm passing our request on to all on my Missionary prayer email group. Be sssured of at least my prayers. I'm doing so right now.
We had a great Missions sunday yesterday. Had Holms(Paraguay) and Jensens(Guinea) here and Kim Cone Central African Republic) preach. Great weather for the picnic afterwards with better than I'd expected attendance.
Keep the updates coming!!
