God is Good...All The Time...

...And all the time...God is good.

WOW!!! Today was quite the day. Sometimes, when God puts challenges in our life or calls us into areas that we are unsure of, He doesn't show us why. We are called simply to trust Him, knowing that He is a God that is faithful and just. Then other times, He gives us, in my opinion, one of the biggest blessings of being obedient, He shows us a glimpse of why. I got a glimpse today.

One of the most challenging steps of obedience that I have taken recently was stepping out of the youth group. It has only been about 4 weeks and already He raising up other leaders. He is faithful.

The other thing that is challenging for me is the whole support raising aspect of going into missions. Yet, over the last couple of weeks I have come to realize the importance of God's timing. It's not about me not getting to Minnesota fast enough, it's about being sure that I remained here until my work here is finished. He showed me He still is working things out in my life here, both for my benefit and for others. He is trustworthy.

Deep sigh...I do love Jesus. I don't deserve His grace but I sure am glad He gives it to me anyway. I pray for you my friends, that you will take those steps of obedience and are able to see the character of God revealed through them.

P.S. If you didn't know, I have been learning how to play the guitar for the last month. I am super excited about it and can actually play well enough to sing to. Yeehaw!
