Hello Friends,
Today, I begin week number 4 at Reign Ministries. I still love my job and am excited to see the fruit of this labor this summer. I know that God is in the business of changing lives, and He has been using this ministry for the last 26 years to do it. All over this world, there are men, women, and children who have a personal relationship with Jesus because of the work that someone sitting at a desk in this office has done.
All across the U.S. and Canada, students will flock to Illinois to attend Royal Servant's training camp begin an experience of a lifetime. For some, they come for more of what they had in previous years, and to give more back. For others, they have heard or seen first hand the life change of someone they know and want it for themselves. For others still, they come without the faintest idea of what God has in store for them this summer, but they come, making themselves available. They will all fly overseas, more prepared than they ever were, to share the Gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ, the greatest story ever told, to a people that have never heard or maybe have never understood before.
As a youth leader, what grabbed my attention about this ministry was it's focus on the "lifetime" part of the experience. It is not just a summers mission trip. It is an experience that teaches them how to use what they have learned over the summer and bring it home. They are now equipped to share the gospel in their circles of influence, to serve in their local churches, to maintain a close relationship with God. Disciples who will make disciples who will make disciples. Generations hungry for a Savior. So many of these students have gone on to full time missions and ministry. Giving up the comforts of home to lead lives of faithful obedience to God, wherever He may call them. Others give financially to this ministry, even 15 years later.
This is amazing to me. It is inspiring and exciting. It is the very passion of my heart. What a dream to see even one of my students go into full time ministry, missions, or give of themselves faithfully in whatever way He calls them. I am in awe that God would choose me to be apart of this. Not just be a part of, but also add to, to help, and bring all the good He has given me to.
I know there is a lot of debate over what the will of God is. Does God create all of us with a specific purpose and call us out to follow Him down a certain path? Well, I can't say what it is for everyone, but I know I feel pretty specific about this moment of my life. I have a purpose. A purpose that at this moment, I was designed to complete.
I don't know about all of you, but sometimes I need to go back to the beginning of things. To revisit the vision. I think after support raising for a while, I need to reminder of what exactly I am raising support for. I remember now, and it is awesome. Thank you for also supporting this ministry by supporting me and praying for me.
Hugs!
Margaret
