Hello Friends,
What can I say? I have just spent the last 5 days of my life in Beijing, China. I have been inside the Forbidden City, walked around Tian'anmen Square, I have climbed the Great Wall, and I have bartered in the Silk and Pearl markets (Betty, you would have been proud!). I have seen, felt, tasted, smelled, and have lived China. I am going to save my grand finale email for when I return, for the Father still has things in store for me.
Some pratical things. My bug bites are just barely visible, there should be no evidence left of the man eating mosquito bites. My sinus infection is mostly better. Hopefully, I will be able to kick it entirely by the time we fly out of Hong Kong. We leave for Hong Kong tomorrow. We will be on a 20hr train to Guangzhou and then a 2 hr train to Hong Kong. We will chill in HK for the day, and will fly out that evening for San Fran. We should arrive in Chicago by 6am Central on Saturday morning. I will stay at O'Hare to make sure that everyone gets on their connection flights home and then will picked up myself sometime in the afternoon. I will be home (Antioch) until the following Saturday.
I look forward to sharing more details (and pictures) from this summer with you. For now, I must pack and toss, and get ready to leave by 8am tomorrow morning. Please ask the Father for safety with the team for the rest of our travel together.
Love and Hugs from China (for the last time this summer!)
