Hello Friends,
So, let me just tell you that seriously, these misquitos here are invisible, but vicious. They show no mercy. I was given the opportunity yesterday to lead the team through the day. Overall, I feel that the day went pretty well. Like in all things that you do for the first time there are things that I learned and can improve on. Although the misquito bites were definitely distracting and almost caused me to be late once, I was able to get through the day without having to cut my legs off.
This morning my legs feel a lot better. I took some benadryl last night that I think helped a lot. The bites still look pretty awful. No really, they are so bad that one of the students took a picture. In our leader meetings they were finding constalations out of the bites, for sure the big dipper is there. For real though, thank you for yarping for me. To me it almost seems silly to yarp for bug bites, but I don't think I have ever experienced anything like this. I took pictures too!
I do have some yarp requests for today. Because of the weather, the long days, and going in and out of the a/c we have a few students, staff, and sr leaders that have colds. Combine them with the misquito war victims and that makes for a pretty uncomfortable team. So, yarps for the health of the team.
The other yarp request is for the advancement of the Father's house through the interactions with the Chinese and our team. Tonight the team will be visiting and having dinner with the Chinese students at their homes. We have 17 Chinese students that the team will go to in groups. It is a huge opportunity to build and deepen relationships and share the love of the Father. Please yarp for boldness, courage, and an extra dose of the HS today. If you read this email before 8:00am on Tuesday morning they will still be at the homes. If not, you can yarp that what was spoken will be used by the Father in great ways and that the students will be able to follow-up on those conversations the following day.
As always thank you for your yarping, feedback, and overall support of what the Father has me doing.
Love and Hugs,
Mags
